Company
– The Product Stewardship
Institute at the University
of Massachusetts/Lowell,
was founded in 2001 by
Scott Cassel, the present
director. PSI is the country's
only national organization
devoted to coordinating
state and local government
agencies to reduce the
health and environmental
impacts from consumer
products. Product Stewardship
itself is a principle
that directs all actors
involved in the life cycle
of a product to take responsibility
for the impacts to human
health and the natural
environmental that result
from the production, use
and disposal of the product.
Project
– Scribble Graphics
was first asked to design
a logo for PSI.
As a fairly new department,
they did not have an identity
to go with the name.
After a thorough process
of meetings, conference
calls and revisions, a
logo was designed.
This logo was then used
to lay out a stationery
package consisting of
letterhead, business cards
for all members of PSI,
envelopes, memo pads,
and mailing labels.
True
to its mission, PSI required
that all pieces of stationery
be printed in an environmentally
friendly manner.
All pieces were printed
on recycled paper that
had not been treated with
chlorine in soy inks.
Result
– As challenging
as this project was, we
thoroughly enjoyed working
with this client.
The different considerations
made the project more
interesting and taught
us a thing or two about
environmental consciousness.
The client has expressed
his pleasure at working
with Scribble Graphics
as well and continues
to come back to us with
other projects. |
