Country Woods Unfinished Furniture – Raymond, New Hampshire
Company – New Hampshire web design client Country Woods Unfinished Furniture has an 18,000 square foot store, Country Woods Unfinished Furniture is the largest unfinished furniture store in the New England area, if not the entire east coast. Since 1983, Country Woods has been selling furniture from over 80 manufacturers, offering their customers a vast array of furniture to pick and choose from.
Project – Country Woods came to Scribble Graphics looking for a redesign of their existing web site. The site, we were told, was quite dated and did not reflect the look their growing company was seeking. They also needed the site to reflect the size of their New Hampshire store and the breadth of their inventory. They were looking for a company that could create a folksy, natural, intuitive site for customers to use, but at the same time, it had to be high-tech, functional and scalable behind the scenes.
Result – The web site Scribble Graphics eventually created for Country Woods is exactly what they asked for – a mix of the traditional and the modern. The new web site is peppered with beautiful images of unfinished furniture and outdoor country scenes. Behind the attractive images, the furniture inventory is managed by PHP pages, which allow changes and updates to be made easily and quickly; information collected from the online mailing list is sent directly to a mailing house for processing into a database; and subtle animation throughout the site adds visual appeal without slowing it down. |
